Jen brought home an adorable Siberian Husky puppy named Rio because she wanted her baby daughter, Hazel, to have a companion. She and her husband chose Rio for Hazel because they loved the idea of Hazel being of similar age to Rio and they could watch the two grow up together and have a sibling-like relationship.
Jen recalled that Rio’s initial reaction when she first met Hazel was pure curiosity. Rio kept sniffing and following Hazel around, and she was always curious about what her baby sister is doing, but they eventually became closer and inseparable as they grew older.
Jen noticed that Rio has been staying by Hazel’s side whenever she is eating. It turns out that Rio has learned the benefit of sitting beside Hazel’s high chair because she gets to be fed whenever Hazel is having her meals.
Jen gushed at how proud she was that her two babies are slowly learning how to share as snacktime is constant between the two of them. Hazel and Rio became much more bonded because they share toys and food with each other.
Jen recalled that Rio has to be the first one to give Hazel her attention. Rio would always walk to Hazel’s room as soon as she wakes up, and she would start sticking her snout through Hazel’s crib to greet her good morning.
Rio eventually began hanging out at Hazel’s crib and playing in there together. Jen said that she and her husband found it funny whenever Rio howls while inside Hazel’s cot because their daughter eventually tried copying Rio’s little antics too.
Jen shared that getting Rio for Hazel was the best decision she and her husband made because their family became happier and exciting. She said that Hazel and Rio’s relationship is special because they get to be each other’s best friends.
