New additions to the furry family are always fun and exciting for humans. It’s another pet to care for, look after, and cuddle with. On the flip side, the situation can be stressful for other animals in the house. The introduction should be done with caution so the two animals, especially if they belong to different species, don’t develop ill-feelings towards each other.
When two beagles meet
Fortunately, everything went well when Marie G the beagle met her older brother, Louie B. Their owners were a bit worried about how they were going to be towards each other. Lucky for them, the two beagles hit it off right away. Louie B is two years and four months older than Marie G, who he adores deeply.
Marie G was only eight weeks old when she met Louie B. Their owners had Louie B locked inside the house first to see how he’ll behave once he sees Marie G. He stood by the glass doors and watched Marie walk around the garden. He could not stop wagging his tail when he realized that the newest member of their family looked like him.
When he was finally let out, he dashed towards Marie G. He kept sniffing her, following her around the garden, and playing with her. The young beagle enjoyed his company too. She played with him and followed him wherever he went.
A strong bond
It didn’t take long for Louie B and Marie G to form a strong relationship. They do almost everything together. Some days, Louie B spends time with Marie G to teach her new tricks. They also have their naughty moments, but they don’t tell on each other when their owners talk to them. To see how Louie B welcomed Marie G to the family, watch the video below:
