As a child, have you ever pretended to be sick to avoid school? When I was 13, I recalled acting to have a lousy sprain just to avoid gym class. If some people feigned sickness, others faked being alive. Such is the case of an uncanny canine who is trying to avoid a trip to the doctor.
A cheeky Shiba Inu named Lulu is scheduled to be spayed, or have her female reproductive organs removed. Upon hearing that they need to visit the vet and have minor surgery, Lulu hid under the covers and pretended to be dead. Her eyes were closed, not even a peek. There were no movements save for her chest rising and falling. No amount of prodding, poking, and persuasion could pull this pup out of its pretentious passing.
Her owner, who was trying very hard to contain her amusement, tried to talk her bogusly deceased dog out of her drama. She even tried moving Lulu’s front paws but it fell listlessly to her sides (what a professional!). Lulu’s owner also pulled the blankets away from her, but her seemingly “lifeless” body responded with an out of place sigh. LOL.
“BOO!” Lulu’s owner yelled, “BOO!” she repeated. Nope, not a single stirring was coming from the phony post-mortem pup.
But Lulu’s owner has one last ace up her sleeve, the ultimate weapon in her arsenal. “What do we have here?” she said slyly as she was opening a packet of Lulu’s favorite food.
Lulu, upon hearing the tearing of a familiar package, and upon smelling the aroma of her beloved Morsomes chicken tenders, couldn’t help but leap up for a taste of the delectable treats. Amazing how these chicky fillets can revive any flat liner out of Death’s grasps. What a miracle!
