Luna is a stray dog that would frequently stay under the car of a woman named Hollee. If she’s not out looking for food, the dog will find refuge under the vehicle parked in Hollee’s driveway. She stayed there for months without Hollee even knowing it.
One day, Hollee went out to take the trash, and it was the first time she saw the black dog. She asked her neighbors if they knew the dog, but no one knew anything. They said that they saw the dog staying there for several months now, and it was very elusive. Apparently, they have been trying to feed the dog and get her, but she was too fast and smart for them.
Terrified dog
Hollee tried to get the dog herself, but her neighbors were right. Luna would run away every time she felt that someone was getting too close. Even when they give her food, she would simply wait until everyone was far away. But Hollee was a determined woman; she wants to save the stray.
The kind lady would sit in front of her house every day and try to get the dog’s trust. She would feed him and talk to him constantly. She wanted the dog to become familiar with her presence and her voice. She wants her to feel that she was not a threat.
Then one day, Hollee took her own dog, Charli, out with her. Charli saw Luna, and he wanted to play. At first, Luna just stared at them; then, she started hopping. She wanted to play too. After a while, the dog walked up to Hollee and presented her head.
The dog bowed a little to show that she wanted her head to be pet, and that is what Hollee exactly did. She started rubbing her head, and the dog got closer to her. She then led her to the backyard, where she followed willingly. From then on, they became best friends.
Holle brought Luna to a vet to see if she had a microchip. When they found none, she officially welcomed her to the family. Now all three of them are family.
