Sometimes people meet a dog through a fateful encounter. Such encounters can be life-changing for both the dog and the person they meet. Here’s an example of this.
The couple Jen and Bruce were on vacation in Macedonia when they came across a stray puppy. It was limping outside a restaurant at midnight, so they lead it to their yard. Since they didn’t want to scare the puppy, they let it stay in the yard that night instead of forcing it to go inside.
Fortunately, when the couple woke up, the puppy was still in the yard. Upon discovering this, Bruce and Jen opened their garage and made a comfortable makeshift living space. There they tended to the dog and discovered that it needed medical attention.
A veterinarian quickly arrived to check on the puppy. The vet gave it all the needed vaccines. He also provided a dog passport, allowing it to be flown to Canada, where the couple is originally from. However, after some time, the vet said that the dog wasn’t well enough to be transported.
Bruce and Jen had to go home first. Meanwhile, Jen’s parents agreed to take care of the puppy and stay behind. Fortunately, the parents were able to send the puppy to Toronto on a separate flight.
Once the puppy was in Canada, the couple named him Chachi. He was very polite and adventurous. He was also able to meet the couple’s other dogs and instantly made friends with them.
Chachi was a far cry from his previous self. He grew very large and healthy. It’s hard to believe that he was once an emaciated puppy that used to limp.
Looking back at the experience, Bruce and Jen had no regrets. If they could go back to the moment they met Chachi, they wouldn’t change anything. Bruce, who was a believer in fated encounters, knew Chachi was meant to be with them.
